FINAL HEY BROTHER
Improvements:
From my first clip I have made full use of the green screen with tight edits in place of a stills image. Incorporated a lip sync sequence at the beginning. It was much more tighter cut so that the pace of the clip was improves. I revisited the rushes and utilised raw material we filmed. As a result the music video shows a good balance of performance and narrative and makes more sense.
As I said I revisited the rushes and utilised some of the original film, which works because it helps explain the narrative a better pace which is key for a slow song. Also I changed the green screen from a picture to a piece of film which continues the story but because I have the singer on the screen as well and it works we with a slow song.

Treatment P1(a)
Hey Brother
It will be an fictional story.
It is aimed at people who are interested in Avicii's music. The gender male or female and the age would range between 12 and late teens.
The medium of the film is the use of a video on compact disc card in 1080p full HD.
The running time: 04 minutes 24 seconds.
Title: Hey Brother
The music video is about two brothers who lost their parents in a car crash and have looked after each other ever since. This shows them growing up together and supporting each other, particularly the older brother looking out for the young brother. You can see the young brother evolve through the music video as there is a subtle change in his appearance as he gets older.
The purpose of the music video is to tell the audience what the music means and give the viewer an understanding of the music. It is also there to entrain by showing off the talents of the music and the actors.
Actors - Luca Venturelli - The singer; Mikhail Shelesnov - older brother; Alexander Shelesnov - younger brother (16); Zack Sapegin - younger brother (10)
The rating of this music video is a : PG
When - The music video was set in 2007 and it looking back at what it was like for them at this time where they just lost their parents in a car crash. It follows them through their life experiences to 2009.
During the filming process we managed to keep the conventions of the genre going by the use of the storyboard. The storyboard allowed us to keep on track with are original ideas but also change them slightly for the better.

Incidental music is often "background" music, and adds atmosphere to the action
ambient sound - Here the sound is more important than notes. It is generally identifiable as being broadly atmospheric and environmental in nature.
Voiceover - When a voice, often that of a character in the film, is heard while we see an image of a space and time in which that character is not actually speaking
Music Video P1(b)
I found that this was inspiring and different because the video addressed what is happening in South Africa by making it clear to the audience and what is happing in a short musical story. With the editing it was all set in a fast pace which made the music video more exciting. There was a good shot various as in a scene they used two cameras to give the effect of jolting.
I found that that music video was quiet boring because of the fact that there is a lot of repartition, which after a while can make it quiet dull. The editing was done to show different sectors of what the song was about - what I mean by this is, is the fact that some of it was music playing with lyrics on the screen, the next scene could be of the people dancing then the one after could be the dancers talking about what happened and dim down the music.

DHS MV Pitch P2(a)
This is me in my group explaining who with be in the music video and also explaining what is happening in the music video and where the music is happening as well.
Storyboard P2(c)
There will be a various amount of shots, throughout the production, with there being over shoulder, close up, medium and low angle shots.
On the 13/14th of March were the filming days.
13th March: The day went well with the shots that were needed to be done for the first 2 minutes of the film were done We had the use of the green screen which went well as it was indoors and just our group. We were indoors so their was no problems with the weather. Everyone knew what they were doing so the evening session went smoothly. We also managed to complete the filming required in the sports hall, of the basketball scenes, including capturing the ball going through the hoop. When we saw the shot back on the camera, we knew it would be easy enough to edit.
14th March: It was a good day as we went out side to do a couple of shots and the weather stayed fair for the shots that were needed. Completed various shots inside the boarding house in rooms so that went smoothly enough as well. With the outdoor scenes props were used, such as a bike and ruck sacks. It was cold to do the shots but as everyone knew what they have to do it didn't take that long to complete. We reviewed the pictures and were happy that we had enough clips.
Production schedule and Shotlist P2(d)
10/1/14: Started project with my individual research in to music video analysis.
17/1/14: We chose Hey Brother because it was new and popular music at the time of creating the music video. It had a good storyline that is easy to follow and to be put in to a music video. This story line helped up us use the surroundings of the school for all the scenes and our team as the actors and camera men. We also chose this as we knew we had the time in and out of class hours to do the filming in the school grounds without seeking further permission.
24/1/14: Start of Hey Brother slide show presentation.
5/2/14: Presented Hey Brother slide show to class.
13/2/14: Storyboard created.
17/2/14: This was the launch date of the filming.

During my process of filming we have to undergo tasks which allowed us to gain the knowledge of what we were planning to do. We would do this by the creation of a production schedule, it meant that we knew where we had to be and at what times. We also used a storyboard as a tool to keep on track and making sure that we covered all the scenes required.
The contingency plan for any of the problems was to change or alter the location around the school as there could be a lot of rooms which we could have filmed in at the time. Also as part of the contingency plan, if an of the actors can not be available at curtain times where we have the use of the equipment we will use the others actors and shot different senses so that we are wasting no time and this would be easy to do because a lot of the senses are done in one location.

BBFC - Guidelines
Therefore every 4-5 years, the BBFC carries out a major public consultation exercise to find out what the public thinks about the age rating of films and videos before they are released and whether the BBFC’s classification standards meet public concerns.
The BBFC adjusts its standards and criteria in response to any changes in public attitudes.
These standards are laid out in the BBFC’s Classification Guidelines which can be downloaded below. The Guidelines detail what is acceptable at each age category, from U to R18. They also set out the laws and principles which impact on the BBFC’s work.
There are two key principles, laid out in the Guidelines, under which we operate:
to protect children and vulnerable adults from potentially harmful or otherwise unsuitable content
to empower consumers, particularly parents and those with responsibility for children, to make informed viewing decisions.

Managing the costs of the communications
An increase in charges – or changes in the way you use your communications services – could make switching to a different deal more economical, though in some cases you may have to pay a charge for the rest of your current contract.
Landline, broadband and mobile
If a change in circumstances means you’re looking to cut back, there are ways you can save money without having to miss out on services.
The following guides explain how you can get the most from your landline, broadband and mobile deals while being kind to your pocket.
Managing your costs – broadband
Types of home broadband
There are three main types of home broadband – ADSL, fibre and cable although not all are available everywhere.
ADSL – broadband over your phone line with speeds varying widely up to 14 or 16 Mb/s (megabits per second). Almost all homes in the UK are able to get ADSL broadband. They’re typically cheaper than cable and fibre deals which offer faster speeds.
Cable – broadband via cable, often supplied alongside TV. Speeds are faster than ADSL with different packages available offering speeds of up to 120 Mb/s.
Fibre – broadband delivered via fibre optic cable. Speeds are faster than ADSL delivering up to 76 Mb/s.
The copyright law is originated in the United Kingdom for a concept of common law. The law gives the creators of literary, dramatic, musical, artistic works, sound recording, broadcasts, films and typographical arguments of published editions, rights to control the way in which their material is used. Copyright is a legal concept by most governments, that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights to its use and discrimination, usually for a limited time, with the intention of enabling the creator of intellectual wealth.
Relevant certification and scheduling P2(h)
The global music industry typically awards recordings with certification awards based on the total units sold, or shipped to the retailers. These awards and their requirements are defined by the various certifying bodies representing the music industry in various countries and territories worldwide.
The music industry consists of the companies and individuals that make money by creating and selling music. Among the many individuals and organisations that operate within the industry are the musicians who compose and perform the music the companies and professionals who create and sell recording music.
The current music industry emerged around the middle of the 20th Century, when records had supplanted sheet music as the largest player in the music business in the commercial world, people began speaking of the recording industry as a loose synonym of the music industry.
I would show my music video to different streams so that it would have the ability to spread quickly.

The picture above is of a Canon 7D which is the camera that we used throughout filming. The EOS 7D combines high performance, versatillity and cinematic-style HD movies. 18 MP resolution delivers superb quality and 8 fps continuous shooting keeps you ahead of the action.
Canon 18-55mm zoom f/3.5-5.6 mf/af (wide angle) I will use the wide lens to give me a wide field of my shows. This means it will give the viewer a big shot of the setting. This lens will also help with the close of shots to make the sense feel more tense and motional.
Rode VideoMic-R Shotgun - is a professional grade 1/2 condensor shotgun for use with consumer video cameras and personal audio recorders.
Tripod - Velbon DV6000 + carry bag - This will help when I want to get a shot were the camera is needed to move.
